Yes, how do you know it was a drug driver?

Are you the guy who had an engine stolen from his shed? That was you wasn't it? Was it a C20LET that you were implanting?

Now you've put a Vts engine in a Nova but it got smashed up and now nobody can see it? Hmmmm.

All this from someone who hasn't passed their test?

You're making it up right?

If the Police were involved and this goes to court. You need to provide a statement to the Polic detailing what happened and say at the end of it that you want compensation. Then he may have to pay out at the end of the court case. Could take a long time but at least you get something out of it.

Sorry to hear about this btw.

This kind of thing sucks big time & i'd be gutted if it were me.

Unfortunately even if it were to go to court, and he was told to pay compensation, the chances of him having any money are next to nothing. He'd get away with paying some measly amount each week/month and the total wouldn't come anywhere near what is costs. Bloody justice my arse!

Hope your luck takes a turn for the better soon mate.

Just a quick question...how do you have car insurance on your vehicle if you don't have a license - and how is it MOT'd if not a finished project? Also, given the misfortune of having an engine from your shed, you're not really very luck...

That said, if you contact the MIB there is a good chance you will be compensated as under the Uninsured Drivers’ Agreement you can claim for personal injury compensation within 3 years of the car accident and claim recompense for damage to your vehicle within 6 years of the accident if an uninsured driver was at fault in a collision with your car. However, for this to occur, the incident must have happened in the first instance :A:

Don't let your friends take out your car on 3rd party insurance..

sucks to learn this the hard way

so true BUT no ones friends can take your car out even if you have fully comp your friends are not named on the insurance so in any accident insurance is void dint anyone learn there theory test since this question came up loads lol.only way it is void is if your friend takes out a 24 hour/or longer policy via your insurance which you the owner has to make the arrangements.

whats even worse is you let your friend take your car out and your only 3rd PF+T read the documentation you get with your insurance policy for i recan a good 80% of the people on hereand other car forums/owners dont even bother we just assume right I now have insurance lets go drive its not as easy as that there are so many other little things on your insurance that they have not said via the phone or internet but its down in the documentation.

anyways gutted to hear this has happend hope you get everything sorted out.

you can insure on a provisional license.. or how else do you learn in your own car??

it could have been mot'd & taxed before he started his "project" on the car...

maybe you should think and get facts before you post???

you can claim money, with money you pay for insurance, a certain percentage goes to a money pot run by the government i beleive, and that will cover you in the event of being hit by insured driver. Pm for more details :D

He's already admitted he was lying about the project earlier in the post. I am quite aware that you can insure on a provisional license. Read my pm regarding MOT/tax details.

Maybe you should read the entire thread before issuing pathetic infractions???

If you're insured, do you have legal cover?
You could use that, may help you out a little...
