Just wondering if anyone would reccommend The Meguiars Quck Clay Detaling Kit cause I saw it in Halfrauds nad thought it looked good, but as it was £23 thought id check it it was any good first :P

Yea, worth the money tbh....
Super Resin Polish and some Zymol Cleaner Wax layered on top.
Will give a nice shine that should last a few washes if you use a light soap.

The quick detailer is good stuff it has many uses :) The clay will also give a great canvas for you to apply your polish/sealants/wax on. Should technically if applied correctly leave the paint feeling smooth without bumps on.

when using the clay bar do you dry the car first and then clay it? only reason i ask is some people have done it after drying the car and some have done it when the car is wet?

£12-£13 is for just the claybar and detailing spray,
whereas the kit that I and others got for £23 has 2 x claybars, detailing spray, cloths, and some cool after-wax stuff...

After i've washed and rinsed i then do the claying then rinse it down or wash it again. After its rinsed its then safe to dry.
Summary:
Wash, rinse, clay, wash, rinse, dry
Even after doing the clay your paint will look awesome! Does exactly what it says on the tin! Makes paint like glass :y:

I used this stuff over the weekend in conjuction with their paint cleaner, polish and wax.
All preceded with a proper wash and tar remover.
The clay does an amazing job, your body work will be so clean and feel like glass if done properly. It's all about time and effort!

Yeah, for big bits of tar you are better off getting a tar dissolving liquid and wiping it off with a microfiber.
Clay is meant for bonded contaminants, here is a nice guide with illustrations of how to clay and what it does.
Detailing Clay: Starters' Guide (http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=4829)
I just use the PolyClay (http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/detailing-clay/cleanyourcar-fine-polyclay-240g-/prod_367.html) from Clean Your Car, you get twice as much clay as the Megs kit for the same price, sans the lube. You can make your own lube by mixing up some car shampoo and water in a spray bottle, it's what i do, a heck of a lot cheap than using Quick Detailer for lube.
