you can do short courses in GCSE's im sure of it.

contact your LEA (Local education authority) and discuss schools locally that provide evening classes in the course you're after.

however... you may find a lot of the courses at 6-12months. it sounds like you want this job in the RAF so be prepared to wait a while until you get some decent qualifications behind you.

Good luck dude.

so have i... the hard way.

messed about through high school, eventually getting kicked out but the school allowed me to go back and do my gcse's there. since i got kicked out halfway through year 11 and had to do the work at home with no help i only managed 5 c's.

you would've thought i'd learnt from my gcse experience and concentrated in sixth form but i messed about again. got d's for AS and failed all of my A2.

now at college doing I.T diploma. gonna try hard as, put 100% into it. hopefully 3rd time lucky and get away with something.

This thread depresses me. I too fucked about.

When i went into 6th form.. people were still going their GCSES..
When i failed that year and resat it.. more people did their GCSE's
Now i got kicked out.. and i'm sure the new year 12's will be doing their GCSE's

Join the RAF in a trade (that you don't need qualifications for)and then after basic training etc, and a two years stint in one posting, apply for another position within another trade.
And just remember, at least two Air Chief Marshal's who have been Chief of the Air Staff, and numerous leading Admirals in the Navy and as far as i know one general in the Army have all attained their position by climbing through the ranks; thats one good thing you can count on, your progression in the forces is down to you.
Trades are not something i know a huge lot about, but i do know a lot about the officer route!

College and/or night school. You could potentially get private tutoring and sit the exams privately. I think GCSE's are only sat twice a year, so the problem would be taking them when available rather than the length of the course.

Good luck though mate - and a worthy read for younger members - repped.
