my air bag light flashes on and off.
its been flashing for ages and then i fiddled with the wires under the seat to make sure they were connected properly and the light seems to have stopped.
but got my MOT tomorrow and dont want it coming on while theyre with it.
does this flashing light make it fail and MOT?
and can i just cut one of the wires underneath the seat to stop it?
any help much appreciated.

don`t cut it whatever you do, cause then it will flash cause the airbag system looks for a 2ohm resistance. if you cut it then its an open circuit no resistance. it will pass an mot with the light flashing anyway so ive been told

i wouldnt think it would pass.
its a safety problem.
my mates car nearly failed for the ABS light on his polo and the air bag light must surely be worse?

i know what your saying mate thats what i thought, but loads of folks from here have had the same problem and claimed to have passed there mot. but dont cut it or it will always be on

it might stay off for the MOT so it might be alright.

just dont be adjusting the seats before mot time so it stays out. lol
