Been to aviemore many a times for sledging as it far more fun:P
Aviemore is cool, some half decent pubs to. Weather is unpredicatble as funk the past few years though and no guarantee fo snow at any time of the year.

Better looking at the continent mate, its far from cheap to go anywhere in the UK and normally works out better value to go abroad. Get a lodge with a group of you, cheap flights and some guaranteed snow.

Bro and his mates looked at scotland, not many rave reviews though so knocked it on the head. Canada for the win.
Robb's going MK Snowdome near his birthday, tag along.
