recommended to take your steering wheel off mate. I have heard of people doing it ithout doing so, but witht the greatest of difficulties. Basically the are torx bits all over the place, that you have to undo.
Jus make sure you disconnect the battery if you remove the steering wheel. (airbag issues) you know the drill..

you need to disconect the battery and WAIT 15 mins then there are 2 holes on the back of the steering wheel inside them are 2 torx screws undo them and then take out the air bug then take the steering wheel of and there are two torx screws that will do tghe job. smileys/smiley5.gif

pah bugger that, undo the screws at the top of the dials cover, then remove the steering column shroud, you should see the final two screws underneath the dial cover. Using a mini hack saw blade cut the lip off the dial cover where it stops you getting the screwdriver in. The steering shroud covers anything you cut off from view and its a hell of a lot easier than taking the steering wheel off
