now have a 52 plate saxo vtr , back axle is bent is there any chance of using the rear axle of my 2000 x plate 1.1 to repair?

Not sure if you can mate. This its completely different, don't quote me on it though.

1.1 will have drums and the torsion bars are a different size. You could definetely use it but it would be a downgrade.

You would need new driveshafts as well i think. As there are disc on a VTR rear.

saxos don't have driveshafts on the rear m8 they are front wheel

same happened to me, just buy a re-con'd vtr axle.
just make sure its the same as urs, it all avoid any more hassle.
its an expensive job tho, unless u can fit it.

going for recon, got disk one for £100 of ebay , get it fitted this weekend. no more racing from now on

the back axle was bent on drivers side of my 106 gti....and i had 16s on it and was down 2 clicks at back.
had a full car load one night and hit a pot hole.....later found out, that the wheel had hit the inner arch and cracked it...the split carried down, and split along boot floor:S:S
get it changed asap mate....in end i tried fitting a furio back end, but when i was converting to discs, the stud pin ends were shorter....so hada go buy a vtr back axle and had 2 re-thread the holes and fit the a.b.s sensors! thats the only prob you will have....vtr/rallye s2/vts/gti are all the same!!
