Dash fault??

Hey peeps ive got a saxo desire in at my garage and cant work out wot is wrong wit it but av been told by a few people around me that its the dash havin a fault wit it?
ive got a second hand dash from another saxo desire which looks the same but dont no if it would sort it as dont no if it will be the rite part?
The problem is the rev counter isnt workin and the fuel gauge isnt workin either but cant seem to get it to work at the mo ne suggestions?? plz have a pop if you mite no a thing or two bout this sorta thing?? cheerz matt :P

Sure its not a sensor problem? Dunno how it would be a dash fault.

sensnor would be the first thing i wouldcheck m8 because it would be easier then removing dash pal

Much easier! My mate removed his dash a cracked part of it, check the sensors first before you try anything harder!

could be sensor, or an open circuit anywhere

try new clocks see if it works or not, its easy to change them

get a multimetre on the wires and rev the car whilst testing the wires, if there isnt any current then its most likely to be the sensor itself

Yeah ive tryd new dials out of another car like i said but will try other things now as cant get to the bottom of it. would love to get some more suggestions as im all ears at the mo for problem findin cheers guys. matt :P

my boss just cant work it out thats y im askin on here and i cant scrap it cuz it aint mine lol
