either option will do mate. personal id go for a 4 channel to power the front speakers with channel 1/2 and bridge channels 3/4 together for the sub

thats the sub ive got mate. ive got a ALPINE MRV-F545 amp running the sub on channels 3/4, and channels 1/2 running the speakers and it sound decent. the amp cost me 300quid but it all depends on what you want to spend. ive got it set up so there`s no bass for the speakers and all bass from the sub

edit - this is the amp ive got but i never bought it from them. there`s also reviews about it below the picture. and mind that the price are in dollars on that site. i got mines from someone in the max power mag.

Ive just brought that amp ive heard good things. I have a small 2 channel amp for the fronts and another 1 channel just for the sub to have sperate controll over the settings. All you need is a good wiring kit and a distrubtion block to split the wires to both amps. My current setup by the weekend... Hope this helps...
