ive used the search forum but i cant find or have missed any sections on this so sorry if im asking and old question...

has anyone else had any problems with strange smells coming from the interior vents?? it smells like a bonfirery smell...i noticed it about a week ago, and ever since keep noticing the smell, it smells when stationary and when im stuck in traffic...i dont keep the cluch in or at biting constantly when creeping forward so im out of ideasss?? theres nothing caught under the car either.

About 2 months ago i had new head gasket, new water pump and cambelt (not having much luck with it so far!!) could it have something to do with this??

thanks!!

Sounds like something is burning out mate, question is what. Whats the temperature gauge normally read?

temp guage usually reads just under or just over half..the fan kicks in when it goes over half to bring temp down again, which im told by citroen is what its suposed to do..at first i thought maybe its the clutch getting a bit hot but then maybe it could be something to do with the interior heating/cooling system...

The fan/temp level sounds fine, thats how they all sit.

Might be an idea to get the cambelt checked by whoever fitted it, as the problems only been there since you had the work done.

OR i seem to remember there being something to do with the water in the heater matrix that could give off smells if it needs changing. BUT i'm not sure if it would be a burning smell, probably more like a skanky water smell.
