Hi, I have a neon that I bought from Halfords. I want to connect it to the boot light, I have taken it out and taken the brown plug from where it used to be, and the plunger thing that is on the boot is still there. I'm not sure about how I can connect it up though.:panic: :panic: :panic:
I've just been to Halfords and bought these blue clip things that you just stick the wire in and then clamp it down, I've done it all correctly but it's not working, so just to clarify, i'm trying to connect the neon light, to the wires that was until previously powering the bulb in the boot. (But removed the brown thing...)

A little help please :p

maybe got the wires the wrong way round. you would need a multimeter to check that there the proper way round. if still you haven`t got 12volts you most likely have blown a fuse. best to check with a meter which way round the wires are before connecting them

when you cut the plug off did you cut both wires at the same time or seperatly. cause if both together i put the money on a fuse

the wires I am connecting it to: one of the wires is blue, and one is a dark orange/browny colour.

the neon isn't faulty as I was until 3 hours ago, using it by connecting it to the ciggy lighter :)

Damn right, it is a fuse! THANKYOU!... I double checked, my interior lights arent working either so it has to be a fuse... just one last question; which fuse do I have to buy?

just pull the fuse out it will tell you on it. tells you on the chart anyway. 20A.
