I went with Quinn-Direct for insurance for my 1.1. Now on my 2nd year on a 51-Plate Vtr im paying £1300, 3points & written off a car, not my fault.
Im trying to get quote for my renewal ... getting £930 from Quinn-Direct and there the cheapest.
I might go back to them as it was descent customer service and aftercare.
Insurance varys a lot. Where u live ... Garaged or sitting on the road ... speeding points ... write offs .... age .... everything lol.

gotta broaden your scope of insurers... your two choices for quotes have never produced cheap quotes for me.

R reg VTR
0 NCB
2 Accidents
7 Points
IAM

And I'm only....£900 Full comp for the year :)
But it think its because of where i live and my car is parked on a secure drive and it has a cobra alarm fitted.

Quinn are really weird with insurance. I got quoted £150 less on a vtr than a 1.1 and now both have gone up by £300.

Was the 1.1 newer, parked in the same area or had extra mods?
