Hi just bought gmc spring off someone off the forum, just wondered what the cheapest and easiest way to lower a torsion bar would be so far i haven't had a cheaper quote than £100 to lower the torsion bar... thanks...

£100 is a good price, is that with the springs fitted aswel? or just the torsion bar?

£100 is good. dpends how they adjust it. some twist it on the splines which is bad! it can damage the splines and cause the car to start dropping at the back resulting in all sorts of trouble.

if they do it properly then they should remove the torsion bars completely, adjust the rear arms, and then slide the torsion bars back into place. this is how it should be done.

Did mine a cuple of months back.
