wheel clearence?

probably been covered before so sorry if it has.
if my 106 gti is lowered 50mm at rear(striped out interior so bare that in mind)
and 40mm at front if i had 15"wheels with 195/50/15 would it rub?
any help would be mucho appretiated.:P

It would be close. Bare in mind, a 16" rim with 195/40 tyres will catch the inner mudgaurd on full lock...

it should be ok, the guy i bought my vts wheels had 50 profiles tryes on his vts rims and his car was slammed 60mm. he had no probs at all - even with a full load

VTS rims will be OK as they are not that wide. 7" rims will cause a problem though.
