So did he give you a timing belt or an alternator belt then?

You need to be more specific when you ask for things like that - what were you expecting anyway apart from "one belt" ?:panic:

cambelts should be changed at about 60k miles. if this belt doesn`t get changed and snaps it can be a costly exercise to the repair the engine. my mate belt snapped on his 106gti and cost him like a 1000quid to repair the engine.
