Don't like using the cheapo stuff I've got, can anyone recommend some better stuff?

the speaker wire from halfords is ok actually :)

Lol, any old speaker wire will do theres not much diffrence bewteen them just dont run them close to any other wires or you could get interfearence.
Thicker it is the better (less resistance, less heat generated) also, keeping the wire as short as possible will reduce resistance. Any speaker wire will do provided ushually around 18 Gauge.

with speaker wire i wouldnt go any thicker than 16 gauge but with the power wire for amps ect its the thicker the better rule

speaker wire is suposed to make all the difference as is any other wiring, ive never noticed any difference on the speaker wire but for power and earth its worth spending the money on

Think I'm just guna use the stuff that came with my speakers. It's about 3 times as thick as my ebay stuff and looks to be pretty decent quality.
Guna change all my spade connections to gold aswell.

yeah defo mate just do the boot with that and loft stuff pack it tight u wont get any rattles on the boot then. then put it on the iner outer skin of your doors and outer iner skin i got some pics of where i have done will post them up when i get back if you want

with sound deadening i recon you get what you pay for! its worth payin more for dynamat extreme or other well know brands!

na the price of that stuff is stupid yeah its good but i would rether double skin with ivanhoe it wud still work out cheaper

RS Components do chunky speaker cable.
My cars got that aswell as soundened everything.
Boot, floor pan, doors, roof and wheel arches.
Makes all the difference.

ive got ivanhoe off ebay, does the job for what i want, cheap and stopped the rattles, tbh dynamat and brown bread are expensive and probablies work a bit better but not by much

sparesworld has 10metres of good quality wire for 8 quid.... not sure if you have that shop near you....

Roffin tape from b nd q dirt cheap..... same as brownbread... buy that, youll save loads!
