I've heard that if you drive a saxo your more likely to get randomly pulled over?
just wondering if that's true and if any of you have been pulled randomly :p

yh they got a bad name
not as much down here tho
cause the cops think - small hatch back - young driver - will cause offence more

Agreed - but it depends on the police in the area and the amount of chavs/young people who drive around like turds!
I havent had any problems or been pulled yet *touches wood* :A:

LOL, sorry to laugh mate.
End of the day I guess any young driver in a hatchback or modded car in this
country is "more likely" to get pulled over.
Its like saying if I stop breathing will I die? :p
Ive got pulled quite a few times, and everytime Ive been doing nought! I was
lost and got pulled, I was driving to the cinema the other day and got pulled,
got pulled for not having my seat belt like a bazillion times (each time I did have
it on)
Seems they have nothing better to do sometimes.

I've been pulled over too man times to remember!
In my Laguna I got stopped outside of my front door 4 nights in a row, one night to have my car completely stripped in a search for drugs. Also been pulled for using short cuts around the local area!
In my Saxo been pulled over once, supposedly speeding when I wasn't?
I don't get this though, my 19 year old mate drives an RS4 yet never gets pulled over? Someone Care To Explain?

Drive normally in a car that doesn't look like it's came straight from a council estate and you should be fine. I had my Saxo for 4 years and it was modified for most of that time and I was only stopped twice, and the first time the policeman told me he really liked the car :P

Your mate drives an Audi RS4? Is he bloody rich or something? Robbed a couple of banks or something?

Why is it a problem getting pulled? I know it can be an inconvenience at times but if you've done nothing wrong then it shouldn't be a problem.
Also i don't think it matters whether you drive a saxo or not its because you've either commited an offence, are a young driver/have a modded car or perhaps they are just bored and have nothing better to do.
Who knows?

Ive been pulled twice, 1st time was asking why i parked in a car park ear my girlfriends, (she had no spaces outside her house!) and the second one was for the fog lights, he asked why i put them on, i said, as you can see officer, it is abit foggy, and i have to wear glasses so my eye sight isnt as good as others, he said that it was ok and drove off

probably depends on area ? i never got bpulled for driving a baleno with stupid exhaust, never got pulled for driving a little jem of a nova SR with exhaust ect, and never got pulled driving a almera gti with tits front and rear massive 18inch alloys and exhaust all were modded and never looked like getting pulled tbh, apart from a moment of motorway madness i should have been pulled n done but luckily got away with it, lesson now learnt

think ive been pulled over twice in my car sine i had it back in april. 1 for fog lights = £30 fine GRRR! didn't even give me a warning (cockend) 2 for drivin abit fast in asda car park, 15 - 20mph where no ppl were, got given a 12month warning for drivin unsocialably. and another traffic cop pulled me over because my car come up with 'point of interest' on there vehicle recognition comp :n:

I've been pulled 3 times. Once they thought i had stolen the car as it was the day i had bought it and was still registered under a 40 year old lady. Second time was for me going around a roundabout the wrong way when i was a nipper. Stupid thing but i got off with it. Other time the guy said i went around a corner to quickly. I laughed at him as it was a roundabout, i was in a mk3 1.1 fiesta, of course its going to roll like a muthertrucker.
These were all in my first year of driving. Not been touched for a while.
Personally i'd rather the police pull me over and check my details. If they didn't it would make them harder to catch the people who don't have insurance etc.

He's all self made, left school at the age of 12, and has worked everyday for 7 years to get where he is, now he's in business with his dad, think they've got one of the biggest construction companies in the UK at present!
Another time i've been pulled, I admit I was drivin like a tit, which isn't usually like me, straight lined a roundabout at about 100mph, got chased by a jam sandwich, pulled over and explained myself.
Come outta clubbin on xmas eve to find one of me mates in an alley had been beaten up, his bottom teeth were thru his bottom lip, and couldn't see properly. Didn't want to spend xmas day in hospital so I took him home where I was gonna clean him up, then got pulled over!

Been pulled 7 times since may,
all of which were 'random' because the cars registered under my mums name.
theyre always really cocky about it aswell.
owell, never had a fine, points or any warnings :)

Being 19 and driving a VTS I'm always getting the glares by the coppers, I've even been followed a fair few times, but when they realise that I'm checking mirrors, using indicators and generally behaving myself and not driving like an idiot, they let me be. Never been pulled over..yet :). My 22 year old mate in his Accord Type-R gets pulled over weekly lol.

i got pulled in my saxo bout 5 times within the first 3 months of driving and altogether bout 9 times in two years. worst was a traffic cop who tried to give me 9 points for F.A.! don't mind them stopping me as i would rather them stop people and catch a criminal 1 in 10 than do nothing. since ive had my new car, had a fiesta ST for 1 week ive been pulled over once but that was my mate who's a copper and just wanted to check out my car lol
