:panic:

As above really, very undecided as to what to do..

Very recently i have been getting very pissed off with the whole no seats etc, and been driving my mates VTR about abit (Nick Tynan's) and am loving the comfort..

If i sell i will get a Mk 2 VTR or maybe make myself bankrupt and get an S...

I just dont know what to do!

I love my car sometimes and other times i dont..:panic:

Opinions please..:d

raise it and put some softer dampers on the rear.

LOL

Its too high as it is on the front!

I dont mind the hard sus, its the interior which can get annoying..

get a vtr. same performance you have now- if not faster? (obv not chassis) but without the inconvenience

unless you want to go all out on the 1.4 with cams rallye bits etc

Youve spent too much on it to sell it half way through the engine project mate.

But if you do get rid, Rallye ftw. Dont get a bloody seetoo

24th September 2007, 14:06
stick with it, no point buying a vtr as this is a waste of money and isnt unique or faster?

put ya seats back in till the project is done(engine) then make it a slag again :D

24th September 2007, 14:09

stick with it and just put a few interior bits back in, e.g. headliner and carpet.

will cut some noise out, but still kind of slag.

David
24th September 2007, 16:05
you know that if you get rid you'd miss it too much...
see how you feel in another 2 or 3 weeks, when everythings fixed...

My daily drive used to be a 205 with track suspension (rock hard), completely stripped out interior and not even heating.

Just get a cushion for your bottom, fix it and take it for a country drive. That'll comfirm that you are on the right track

Saxy1
24th September 2007, 18:15
stick with it mate, as said you could always put the interior back in :y:

Tobs
24th September 2007, 18:18

VTR-Chris-VTR
24th September 2007, 18:20
Try to keep it James its a nice car......but if you wanna upgrade then yeh get a VTR....S would be nice but like u said wud be expensive on insurence etc :y:

OLLYVTS
24th September 2007, 18:51
Keep it mate you have got a nice car.Just buy some interior which aint going to cost you loads and then you have got some comfort back.

I dont see the point in buying a vtr just to get some comfort when all you need to do is get some interior back in yours plus a vtr wont be much faster if any.Just a waste of money and time imo.

JimoVTR

Keep it bud. I am the same, stripped out daily drivers aren't the best. But I have a top secret ;) project atm, which will make driving so much easier. Plus a VTR won't be much of an upgrade for u. Once I have finished my top secret project lol, I will pop up and show you. It is going to be mint lol :P

haha, you know you love my car james ;)

i think you should keep it, but from talking to you i have noticed that it is not REALLY what you want. you are constantly saying that you want interior and comfort back but on the other hand you love track driving. there is a comprimise but obviously you would lack on performance on the track by having an interior and it would be too much work to take it out every time you want to race lol.
best thing to do in my opinion would be to get another car and keep the westie off the road, get the new one looking nice and leave it. start work on the westie and transform it into a proper track slag. just money though aint it

p.s. DOMINO'S IS MINT!

Your spot on..

Its also too much work to put an interior back in now..

I was seriously considering getting a nice diesel car for the road, getting a removable towbar and just using my car for track use, take it off the road etc..But as you said that costs alot of money..:panic:

Looked awesome with the 5 spoke sport alloys and handled really well, was surprisngly stiff sprung too..
