View Full Version : Are VTR's alarmed as standard?

The blipper for mine has broken:n: , and was broken when i bought the car, and i was wondering if i have an alarm/immobiliser and is it activated using the key?

Was a factory option on the VTR mate. If you have one there will be three buttons in the dash where the hazard switch is. If you havent youll only have two, the hazard and the rear demister


You dont really want the std saxo alarm though its wank. Goes off a lot on its own, most people disconnect em anyway.

All saxo's have an immobiliser as standard but I know the VTS has an alarm for sure.

Is it difficult to wire up an after market alarm and blipper?

It is if you havent done one before. Its possible but i wouldnt reccomend it mate, get a decent alarm (Toad or Clifford) fitted by a fitter whos reccomended in your area ask about. That way you get a certificate to lower your insurance too
