No you cant apply for jobseekers allowance if you left your other job

You wouldn’t be entitled to jsa, because you left your job voluntary.

Its only if you got made redundant, or for personal reasons(you can make a claim, if you think your jsa claim has be unfairly reviewed)

Oh and to the people that said get a job you bum- it isnt always that easy, and it takes time - also you need money to get to the interview, to pay for lunch, travel costs, uniform for the first month before pay.Bills, etc. Dont be so judgemental. Afterall, what would be the point in them rushing to get a nother 'sh*t' job so that they can just get bored again and leave.

Dont be gay, its there for a reason. Use while your looking for a job is cool.
If your going to be a doofus and stay on it the rest of your life then fair
enough.

I think your still entitled to it mate if you left your job. Not 100% sure though.

Yeh lie, they dont check up as far as i no.. Actually they may send references. so try and make it a good personal reason - ie, the company was being blah. Or you was off for sickness, and the company advised you to leave before they dissmissed you.

Or maybe say, that you didnt feel you could move forward in your job, as you felt you was going to be dimissed when your probation time was up.

To be honest 'you're?' probably more entitled to it than most the spongin tw@'s out there!

If you've always been in work, paid tax and N.I. you deserve any penny you get!

As for gettin a job isn't always that simple, how many graduates do you see workin on a checkout in a super market when they're sat there with a few letters and a squiggle after their names?

I've been to college and uni, and the entire time had a job, just so no-one starts callin me a spongin student! I've done jobs i've hated to make ends meet, was also on JSA for a grand total of 2 weeks!

So please think before you start calling anyone a bum?

theres a certain time after you cant apply for it not sure if its 6 weeks or so, cant remember what terms they are, ie fired or walked out

its not as if hes living off it like ash did for 3 years....

ive been on it, always had a job, then few months whilst waiting to join up i thought why not, quit job cash in hand job anyway and went on it for 2 months

bit harsh for ripping him peeps. as said hes not a bum its just while he looks for work which is what its there for, the name sort of gives a clue for that "Job Seekers Allowance !!

as said try blagging them, just be strait and say your a worker unlike 95% of the smack heads in there, and you just need a bit of cash while you find somewhere else.

i dont understand how he wouldnt be not intitled to it cause he left a job? he actually had a job to leave. guess you are only intitled if your a full blown bum, like bullit x

You cant sign on for 2-4 weeks I think, if you left on your own accord.
