Ok this may not be the best place to post this but I'm not sure, anyway...

The reason I post this now is because no work tomorrow and I'm bored...

So as of well whenever it was I passed my driving test I've wanted a VTR and I've been building a list all this time too, and well it's getting quite long I don't worry to much about how much it will cost I just need some advise.

Heres the list so far: (Everythings a little basic right now)

*cough* you can probably forget about alot of the above...

So there you have it, watch out wallet here I come! :flush:

And heres some of the things I'm thinking of adding:

A VTS engine conversion, strut brace, bigger injectors, big disc conversion and thinking of throwing a turbo in the mix, what ya lot think?.

Anyway I was also thinking at 2 o'clock in the morning no less about boring the engine out to atleast an 1.8 standard, is it worth it?

And can anyone tell what sort of power gains I can to get from all this no matter how big or small?

bore to a 1.8 lol aint happening think the walls are too thin...

theres a few things here and there id think about

you want a top notch sound system, go all out on front speakers and leave the 6x9s

no engine mods if you want to put vts lump in, bare in mind that will cost you around 1k, then turbo plus 5k. you may get problems with s engine, tbh your better off in that department just buying an s

i cant be arsed to say anymore

there are loads of little things i wouldnt bother with or would advise against in that list

remember your 17, you want a proper well known boy racer car, your insurance will be high as fuck standard, then when you mod it your insurance will go up even more

better off with a 1.4 or maybe even a 1.1 get a years no claims and go from there

ive rounded the list down to the genral 17 yr old!

Richbrook Tax Disc Holder
Sparco Grip Pedal Pads
Selected Interior Parts Silver Respay

Type VR Anodised Wiper Blades 20"
Racing Small Design Mesh
Calipers Respraied Red

Urban X Rally Flaps

Sportex 6" backbox

dude that stuff costs shit loads, your main concern will be insurance as its a killer at that age, then theres the running expense that becomes something new! gordon brown loves the driving public when it comes to the works christmas party

lol thanks peeps but um, I aint doing this to my first car I currently have my Mcbeast of a VSX :P which I love I do try to forget about the new emgine gearbox and other things and the 125,000 miles on the clock although its not so), all the stuff on the list is for when I have a VTR in about a year and probably 6 months time if not 2 years lol.

Oh and the whole insurance thing aint a problem, thanks Adrian Flux.

And the idea of a VTS engine in a VTR is to hopefully get anyway with a lower insurance group :P

But thanks for all you advise guys :y:

And what if you crash it, You cant hide a engine rly especially one that has 16v all over it.

bigger injectors

need standalone manage ment add about £700 for that.

Tbh i dont think you have thought it through at all, you wont do half that stuff. Your just dreaming imo, and that setup isnt very good even if you werent.
