don't think about accidents, get it out your head. If you drive carefully and with full awareness with cars around you, then you will be ok!

It isnt my driving im afraid of, its all of the other trolley heads around me, they cant drive for shit. there must be 99% of the population who CANT DRIVE!!!

Had a bad side impact crash last year, trusty french side bags couldnt be bothered to go off... Got a nice thump in the face from the front one though :err:

Dont crash, safety problem solved :y:

VTS's have driver passenger and 2 side airbags so if you're really worried get one of them!

I had buckets in my VTS tho so that took away all 4 of my airbags...

best bet is just to not crash!!!

ye a vts is safer, its the quickest saxo u can get, but it has 4 airbags so when ur doing that increased speed because of the power u know that when u crash, ull survive :)

sarcasm FTW!!

crash any small car at 70mph and your dead regardless of the euro ncap rating

saxos are terrible in a crash

Jamie

Dont think about crashing drive sensibly and be alert/aware.

If you do crash id say its a 80% chance you will die unless its a slow impact..

thats a silly assumption.

Smart cars can survive impacts from 100 into concrete

106/saxos can too.

I survived a head on with another car going 40.

combined impact of 80 mph.

The more you think about it the more likely you are to crash I reckon.

Tbf, if u arnt thinking about saftey/crashes/whatever everytime you drive, then what the hell are you doing when you look right or whatever, u avoid crashing when you drive - so basically your always being alert for possible mistakes you or other drivers make, now if someone wants to write what i just said in english, be my guest.

Thats something I think about a lot with the 106. Its a great car, touch wood
its been so reliable, never gone horribly wrong. But if I was ever in an accident
I imagine it would hurt real bad!

I think thats why you have to watch your surroundings and other drivers more
to be aware of stupid driving. So far Ive been fine, but you never know what
could happen I guess.

Hahahahaha

Test was at 40mph. Not 100mph. At 100mph in any car, you're pretty mkuch fucked

rushy_23
26th September 2007, 15:44
They should do a 100mph crash into concrete in a saxo. See whats left of it...

Or whats not lol.

How you survive a crash depends on a lot of things!
Bigger car more surviveability!
Speed of impact.

Anyone see the traffic cops programme where a lorry went into the back of a stationery 206? Lorry driver thought he hit the car in front!

Only thing I think when i'm drivin is that if i'm gonna crash and it's the end of me ... i'll die happy at least =]

TheMadSaxo
26th September 2007, 18:58
Saxo was rated as reasonably safe when it came out. Obviously, if you compare it to most newer cars then yes, it will look poor. What do you expect?

Really, the Saxo is no different to any other old school hatch in terms of safety.

dude thats his mum lol

Its not the safety rating that bothers me, its my insurance lol

I'd be more scared of other people's driving than myself. Today I was driving along a single carriageway which has a 60mph limit. I was doin about 56mph and someone was overtaking somebody on the other side of the road and coming towards me. I had to brake hard from almost 60mph down to about 40mph and then he cut in on the car he'd just overtaken. sorry for the essay lol:P
