Letter
As a few of you know i went to turkey, and I had lots of problems whilst there - such as poor flights, delays, no room on arrival, poor food, food poisening, refusing to go out with barmen who the next day decided to be ina stress and not serve us, no towels in room, no drink in room, leaking bath, etc
So i have written a letter of complaint today and am writing to get money back, but im kind of confused in how to get to the point.
Do i say im writing for compensation, for part of the payment back etc.
Hope thats better to understand.

Anyho, I spent some time earlier writing this letter (thats why I dissapeared for a bit)
But i dont know how to ask for money back?? Not very good at this kind of thingy....
And help appreciated.

Go to travel agents and complain

i am not happy with the way i was treat blah blah blah so i would like blah blah blah! dont be nice to them, they ruined your hols, you go on hols for a break, not to be pissed around ;)

i tried to get compensation after my mates and i were kicked out of out hotel last year.. holiday company just sent an angry letter back
best going straight to the holiday regulator people ABTA or something like that i think it is

clo - most of the problems the travel agent will have to take up with the hotel, will be lengthy process

Btw to complain on about any Holiday. You HAVE to speak to a Rep onsite whilest of holiday and fill out a complain form with them firstly. Then you have to complain again when you get back to England. IF you didnt do this you wont get a penny.

Yeh we did, but they didnt realy understand and said we should speak to our rep, who didnt want to know.

i take it youve wrote the letter in a proper layout and included your adress and number on it?
maybe give them a time limit to get in touch with you?

Dear Sir/Madam.
I, *CloVTRxx*, am appalled with the standards of accomedation that I got when i arrived in Turkey at *resort name*.
First of I/we never had a room and had to wait x hours.
The holiday only go worse after this. The barmen were arragant and refused to serve me and my partner as I refused tto go out with them.
The food was atroshious and I recieved food poisening along with other guests. As I am *inser disease name here* it only made it worse for me.
These are just a few of the problems, which if I do not recieve compensation for the poor holiday which I paid £x for, I will be going to *whatever the watchdog thing is of holidays*

Amiee - Yes when we arrived we made a complaint, and was told to speak to the Rep, we did but he could hardly speak english and instead decided to offer to take us to lunch then kept following us - so not good tbh. Ended up getting as far as possible away from him!!
Ive sent the letter now, so just waiting for a response. I checked out www.tripadvisor.com, and theres so many people with the same sort of problems is crazy.
Anyways cheers all for the sensible replys lol

jst keep sending them letters asking for your money back, threaten to sue (however u spell it) and keep bombarding them with letters, make a refrence of each letter and keep a photocopy yourself or the and the times/dates they were sent, then go to the place you booked it get them involved, get them to send a letter and keep hassling them hun oh and good morning another fun day ahead!!!

Soulless, thats pretty much the letter my mate wrote out before i changed it lol. I was cracking up reading it, she wrote - the entertainment on flight was watching a screen with a map on showing how fast we was flying. You could have played Tom and Jerry.

Yup can image, you just wanna diog as much shit up on the compant as possible to be honest, get pother peoples quotes from the site add them into your letter and stuff jst go for every penny back knowing you wont get it but there more the merrier, there snid when it comes to handing money back out!

Yeh i wasnt sure where holiday insurance came into it. But tbh i chose the cheapest hols insurance there was found on moneysuper market, so aint got a clue what it would be now

When I went to America in August, I had a delay of 24 hours to get there from Gatiwck, plus the fact 600 people running to the gatwick hilton to get a room at 10 at night was nightmare. WE had cheap insurance but we got payed £30 per person per 24hours. 6 of us got £180 back. from insurance then we got money back from the company itself. So read your terms and conditions you got with the insurance is should say it somewhere.

Hope you get it sorted bad holidays are a nightmare.
When will people learn that if you go on cheap holidays to crappy places, you're more than likely going to get shit service / accomodation / treated like a number.
Pay a bit more and go somewhere nice ;)
