No others planned. Usual thing would happen, loads of interest then when it comes to commitment everyone backs out.

well why speculate about it?
would i tnot be worth trying to get one sorted. maybe first, have a thread and get a list oging of who would DEFINITELY be interested in a track day, and put up some possible destinations for it to help people decide?

Yeah, would like to do this.
Just been looking on Donnington Park website, and they have about 7 tracks DAYS abefore xmas and one on the 27th dec.
its £105 per driver, passengers are extra £20, extra drivers £35.
3x 20mins sessions, or
4 x 15mins sessions.
1 sessions per hour.
see http://www.donington-park.co.uk/trakzone/ for more info.
there are loads more tracks of course but just picked closest to me, :P
for information reasons only

Exactly as Jay says, we have been stung and lost a lot of money for every track day we have ever organised.
Same story each time. People say yes im defo going. Ask for deposits. <tumbleweed>

i see your point jay, but maybe if we can get hold of a track to ourselves for a half day, or a full day it might be more appealing to people.
for example, i originally put my name down for trax, but i dropped out due to the price it cost for next to no track time!

its £165 iirc and there two limits are :-
1) only 20 cars on the track at any one time
2) zorst can be no louder than 98 db at 4500 rpm.

Donnington Park has a noise limit too, 98dB on normal track days, but the 27th dec has no limit, so loud as your car will go. :P

Been there a few times and wont pay more money than a track like donington which hosts the best motor racing championships in the world and is a far better maintained track and layout..
Castle combe is a boring lay out and only suits car's like evo's and stuff that have high top speeds..
Also as i said, there is no run off's, inexperienced drivers shouldnt go there imo..
