Anyone know if I can change the IR remote system on my saxo mark 1 to a
saxo mark 2 wireless remote system by simply changing the receiver/plip.

If so ,where's the receiver hidden on a mark 2 .

Nope.
IR works by infrared
Wireless works by radio waves.

Totally different systems!
IIRC the radio reciever is in one of the front wings
The IR one is by the sunroof winder!

Thanks gents-I'm gonna pop into citroen UKHQ quite near me to ask the tech guys ,after all the car started life without remote at all and I got an original system on ebay and just clipped it to the hiddden wires so who knows eh!

By the way I also fitted original equiptment electric/heated mirrors and a VTS interior all bought off ebay .It started life as an automatic 1.6 SX!
