I got my renewal back today, its really cheap compared to other quotes ive got and asked them how much it would be if i was to buy a 106 gti. They gave me the answer of 'you have to be 21 or over to insure this type of car' Grrrr its the car ive always wanted and by the time im 21 they arnt going to be many around! Plus other insurance quotes are giving me like 2800 (18 years old, 1 ncb and 3 points) Anyway has anyone else been able to insure a gti or vts under 21?

i insured my gti at the age of 18 on my own policy. the lady from quinn did say "you have to be over 21 to insure this viehcle" but i basically begged her and she just about insured me, i think it was 2300 but not sure now as that was last year

Ive just read the thread and on my insurance atm i am insured 3rd party only on any car too! But the only question i have is, do i have to keep my old car after i take out the policy?

when i was 20 i had the vts and quinn insured me for 950! they said the same to me that i should be 21 really to have a vts but i told her i already bort it so she said they had to insure me lol.
On my rs turbo i am now 21 with 2NCB and only paying 700 a year, so quinn are quite good at times.

Wouldn't let me over the phone. Needed to see if i was covered to drive damo's car. They started off saying yes, then checked and i couldn't. Other companies will though.

Scoobies, Evo and supra owners who are younger than that owning grey and regular imports...
Bell.co.uk gave me quotes that were a complete joke for my zetec and saxo
Quinn was £1200 on the zetec and £200 more for my VTS :A:
Play them off and try looking around with the usual companies and search engines
