What year did it go from black-top too silver-top engines?

Was is R reg or S reg that had the first of the silver-tops?

Well that's wrong cos my S reg Westy had a silver-top.

It's gotta be either R or S.

pretty sure it was S Maybe a few of the very last R reg ones, pretty sure its when the changed to the smiley grill aswell

tbh i don't even think they all come in at the same time, they just pick will and illy lol

like mine and Ben's furio.....both same year but millions of things different with them lol. appears to the same with a few others.

Could have been anywhere from late '98-2000 as Citroen are renowned for using whatever they have lying around to build their cars with.

Take mine, a mid 2000 vts with a single plug ecu......

that would figure Craig as it wasnt til Late Y/2001 they swapped to 3 plug.

Ok smart arse - was it just the vtr's of 2000 onward that use a 3 plug ecu???

dont know enough for the VTR to say,
but had 2 friends both with Y reg, the newer one a 3 plug, the older a single plug.
Mates X reg is a single plug too.
so would make sense.

think Y onwards is a Cat in manifold VTR?
