Right today the car was booked in for some work + mot.
Drivers side lower arm and shock was changed along with a few other bits (brake pads, bulbs etc...)to try and get it through the mot but just now found out that the rear axle (bearings) is fecked :panic:
Now this where you lot come into it, recently i've spent so much money on repairs (gearbox, clutch, droplink etc...) its unreal and i don't seem to be getting anywhere with the mods i want doing to it.
So shall i sell her and cut my losses? or stick with her and hope its finally done with all the repairs for the moment?
I'd like your opinions please no matter what they are. :y:

All depends on how you feel really, do you feel as if you'd miss her if she was gone?
and think about the fact that the next one you buy could be the same, or even worse!
if i were you id stick with her :y:

Well look at it this way, once you have fixed everything then you are going to have a mint GTI on your hands and it will last you a lot longer. Well in the sence of, you won't know how well the new car would have been treated

Yeah it all depends on how long you think you will want to keep the car and weather or not your going to still be happy with it six months up the line heres how i see you will have to repair it to get a decent price for it and the price you get isnt going to be the price youve layed out where as if you keep the car it will soon give you back the layout in miles you cover in the car

Same problem a mate had with his gti.
Rear beam went, got it from breakers & they didnt mention it was lowered so he had to sort the front out. Think his gearbox went to & out on a drive one night, his cambelt snapped & did some damage so he rebuilt part of the engine.
He spent bout £3000 repairing it so sold it on before he got any other problems, He does miss it tho

Yea depends on the extent mate of the repairs. If it needs a lot of care and
attention then it may be worth selling. If you can justify the repairs then go for
it mate.
Like everyone told me, you will regret it!
