Right I've but my old (stripped out) saxo onto my grass front/drive and had to put my new saxo onto the other side... which is slightly steeper. It was completely fine last night however; When I bought this saxo the handbrake was loose and the dash would state it was on if i just pulled it before pushing the button (to loosen it, so that it doesnt click) and all was fine... I know the girl who had the car before me didn't do handbrake turns.

So I parked the car on the steeper side and the car began to roll towards the dustbins :panic: told my sis to get out. The engine wasn't on so i put it in reverse but still creaked. I leaped out and did it a few times then stopped.

I'm guessing the Handbrake needs tightening I found this (http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45465&highlight=tighten+handbrake) however does anyone have a better guide. With pictures etc. Or should I pop down to Halfrauds and (finally) get a Haynes Manual.

Plus will I need axle stands as I only have a 2 tonne Jack and don't really want to get crushed. Cheers, rep will be given for a decent guide :y:

get some axle stands mate, jack it up on the rear, undo the nuts on the heatshields, slide them down towards the front and then you will see a nut, should be a 13mm one, with the hand brake off tighten that and keep trying the handbrake, about 2-3 clicks is good

thing is my mate who usually helps me with my car and vice versa, is in leicester and his dad refuses to lend me his stuff out as he doesn't even trust his own son with it.. oh dear. Guess I'll need some for one day as I hate garages.

you're telling me she washed it every so often: put it throught the occasional car wash *shudders* and paid a bloke who clearly didnt know what he was doing :( everytime i go to properlly clean her something starts (dinner, rugby, mates come round, need to go out,) wednesday the day for the clean this week :y:

Oh and when cleaning the interior i found seven chips in the seat, a deformed jelly baby, 40p (in my old car after the interior was stripped i found £1.74 :y: ) some red liqorice (sp) near the pretensior cable... thought it had fell off :P
