Went to pick a few friends up this morning about 3 in birmingham so drove to where i needed to pick them up from got them all in the car and driving back went through a small tunnel and my new exhaust was sounding nice! =D Had a big grin on my face then about 100 yards after there was a junction with a taxi that had stopped on the left and had his hazards on so i was slowing for the junction already went round him slow and who did i see parked at a dodgey angle infront of him! The 5-0! So i was sitting at the junction ready to leave and a car was coming and had to wait then a polic man came to the passenger side window and said "You got a heavy right foot mate?" I said " No officer i was doing 30!" He went "Dont lie" And really i just wanted to say prove it but i thought itd make it worse so i just said "Sorry officer i was honestly only doing the speed limit" He went "PFFFFTT you been driving tonight then son" and when im driving i dont touch anything! So said "No" And he said "OK then" the another officer came over and stuck his head in my window i was like WTF he was right in my face! Then the other officer said "Well be careful and stop driving like a prat" and they both walked off! So i carried on! But there was no fucking need i wasnt breaking and laws and speed limits, i hadnt been drinking or driving erratically! I just think police target younger drivers and it really pisses me off! i wouldnt mind if i had done something wrong but i hadnt! Anyone else have any trouble?

when i know 100% i havn't done anything wrong and there is nothing illegal about my car and they accuse me of something then my phrase is "prove it, bet you cant, ha".
this doesnt always go down so well

should have taken thier numbers and name and reported them... they cant accuse u for nothing.. so i would have made it time wasting and blaming some one for nothing...

And if they were traffic police, then their remit is to concentrate on traffic offences - that is not to say that they should do this to the total exclusion of all other crimes though.
You admit you had a loud exhaust, in a tunnel which would magnify the sound, they would not be doing there job if they weren't at least a little suspicious of you.

They werent traffic cops they where just the usual lay about type of police! My exhaust isnt loud as i said it was sounding nice! He was just saying i was speeding when i wasnt and he had no proof! So what was the point in stopping me!

i was stopped the other night in Notts and he checked my window tints (which were a little bit darker than they should be ;)) and ended up letting me off, saying he's just come back off holiday and feeling in a good mood.

great thread, police probably did it for something to do. Porkers at play!
You know you were legal (probably) so no worries
What was the taxi there for, dogging?

The OP drives a modified car, as evinced in this thread (http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=103461). Looks very tidy, and will hopefully be a cracking project over the next few months, well done. He has done this I assume to stand out from the more standard fare, to turn heads, or attract attention one may say.
Well, he's achieved it. Job done.
Having a louder than standard exhaust will attract attention, having it resonate off tunnel walls will attract attention, having 4 up in a car that is perceived as a "young persons" car will attract attention. Doing all this at 3 in the morning will attract attention. There's a pattern developing here, can anyone see where it's going?
