Im running two JBL 1000Watt subs off a Sony amp 1200watt max i think. sounds really good and i dont need any more kick then that but i keep blowing my in-line fuse when i crank up the bass. Just wondering if im putting in a fuse thats too low? What size should it be?

Id go with about 40 amps. What are you running at the moment?

What wiring are you using mate? Id use two amps ideally so one for each and at least 8awg with decent fuses (40 min)

Three things:

a) IIRC the fuse in the holder has to be at least teh same rating as the one in the amp itself (will double check this but im pretty sure i'm right on that)
b) @ redbullet - That amp should run those subs ok
c) I can come have a look if you want?? (I'm going to be over that way for a little while until 1pm ish otherwise I could look tomorrow morning?)

what have you got the gain set to on the amp mate, must be a reason why the fuse is blowing
