My niece has just got a Saxo 1.4i, 1999, petrol, with automatic gearbox.

The car came without the handbook, and the Haynes manual we purchased is somewhere within the black hole caused by the postal strike.

Please would you help identify the oil/fluid needed for the automatic gearbox and the power steering?
Is it 2 different fluids?
The levels in both need filling up quite a bit and I can't find the right spec anywhere, and am worried about running dry before the Haynes finally gets here.

Best wishes

happen to have my haynes to hand:

Both the automatic gerabox fluid and the power steering fluid are "Dextron type ATF" (duckhams unimatic)

Not sure if that helps doesnt help the haynes manual is sponsored byt duckhams by the look of it:P Pop to halfords it will bein the flip charts, or just ring them

i know that you can use automatic transmission fluid for power steering, fact. so i would have thought it worked either way..
