View Full Version : Holidays in Turkey??

Anyone been thinking of booking 2 weeks there next sept 4 star hotel £350 p/p half board.

Area is Antalya on the med coast and the resort is Alanya.

Never been turkey before but been tunisia etc so know sort of what to expect culture wise etc but any info would be nice.

Erm.. i went to antalya, was alright but if you can choose go to cyprus or something.
I went 5* and paid £299, Id recommend going for a high a star as you can, becuase although yours may say 4*, here in England that would be classed as a 2-3*
Try and make sure the foods okay what you eat, or you will end up ill all hols like me, and on antibiotics.
Erm.. shoppings ok, for like markets (Not so much in Kemer (wher i went))
It ok as long as you can put up with men trying to pull u in shops, and you must do lots of barterring!!!
Weather was nice, (i went in sep).

Er, beaches arnt gr8.

my friend went twice this summer, im sure she went to the area your going to, she loved it, said the people were lovely, although they try and hit on you all the time, and sell you stuff, she said that things were ok price wise and that it was a lovely place scenery wise :)

YEH ive been twice, i loved it first time. I do want to go back, cos we didnt get to leave our hotel cos of food poisoning!! VEry nice ppl, yep. Bit scary for two girls alone lol. Wimp me...

iv been catered on the south coast.. food was really good. clubs were prity dead where i was (it was middle of summer)

people selling you things are everywhere, but you get used to it. id say go for it! :)
