if you do do you speak to them like they are a piece of shite? are you always abusive.
do you always deman to speak to someone higher?

Im only rude if there blunt and rude to me..
I find that I only get annoyed if they dont have a clue what there on about, and when i used to work in a call centre, if i didnt have a clue, id be honist and tell the person... Didnt really have that many angry calls.
:) Loved making little old ladys cry cos they was so happy. cute... :)

It all depends if the person on the end of the phone is nice or not. I am normally the politest person you could wish to meet but if someone is messing me about then i tend to loose my patience. I dont become abusive or swear, there is a way to get results without sinking that low. I have learnt over the years that it just simply doesnt pay to be nice and polite all the time.
Why do you ask though ? do you have to deal with rude and abusive people ?

just wondering. i work in a call centre so obviously i get loads of rude people calling up! i always do my best to help em nd normally give em loads of freebies (that i dont get commison for as i am only customer services)
jsut seeing what everyones like, im worlds worst for being rude specially to o2 custoemr services because they really aint got a clue what they are on about!! network wise anyway, they're billign system is different but networks works exactly the same and they think all customers are thick and dont understand!!
it was jsut out of curisosity to be honest with you all
agree with everyone, if the employee is nice im nice if they are rude nd blunt then so am i!!

She was only asking... if she had a cold caller that pissed her off, it could make her angry... so she got it off her chest (hehe woman chest) to sax-p.
Most of us do.... give her a break :y:

Nope Never because i work for Acer the computer manufacturer on there Technical support Helpline (also have to deal with some customer service calls)
I know what you mean though some days just take the piss epically when they ask for a manager for no reason atall, though here we do call backs instead of putting them through to a manager.

I usually ask about the weather when Robert from india calls or Michelle from China calls.
Even about what they are having for tea!
There weather is always "Yes, sir"
and tea is "I agree, Sir"

No, but whilst we are on the topic about phone calls.. i'll tell you an interesting story that happened to me.. just yeseterday
Every week, me and my g/f order a chinese.. from Hemsworth (about 3 miles away).. But we wanted one last night anyway
So, we rang the chinese up (Jade City) And i said i wanted a chinese.. goes like this..
Andy: Hello, i'd like to place an order
Woman: What is your address please?
Andy: *gives her his address*
Woman: IS that, ryhill?
Andy: Yes..
Woman: I'm sorry, we don't deliver to ryhill..
Andy: Yes you do.. i order from your chinese every week..
Woman: No, we have never delivered to Ryhill, it is in barnsley..
Andy: No, it's in wakefield..
Woman: Then why have you got a Barnsley telephone number..
Andy: Nevermind.. just please, deliver my chinese.. i'm less than 4 miles away like it says in your menu..
So, regardless.. she wont accept my order, because I live too far away.
This chinese is quite good tbh.. when you ring up, they store your telephone number.. so they don't need to keep asking for your address =D
So.. my mother rings up, and 141's the number..
Mother: I'd like to place a delivery..
Woman: Yes, and what is your telephone number?
Mother: 0122........
Woman: Ok, what do you want..
Mother: Ok, chicken curry, rice.. (etcetc)
Woman: Ok, it will be with you in 25 minutes.
So.. figure that one out :\

One year I got so many cold callers one call went like this:
*indian accent* "Hello is mrs Grammer there please I wish to speak to her"
*puts on posh accent* "Why who is this?"
"My name is Bill Marrow"
"Ok... *long deep breath*... *gets emotional*... I'm afraid she has deceased, she no longer is here. For you see I am the Gardner"
"Ok... Is Mr Grammer there please?"
Without any concern arogant tw*t! (mum is still live and well)
I did this experiment as my girlfriend sadly lost her dad and was still receiving calls about whether he would purchase items and they would still show no consideration.
However If i ring anywhere I am always polite and never ever stoop to their level :y:
