Dilema

Purchased a gearbox from someone on ebay he told me he had got it from a breakers yard and it was low milage. My intentions was to use the box on my car but later found out my problems lay in the drive shaft and not the box, so i decided to sell it on with just my petrol costs added on. So i advertised it on the 206 forum someone came and purchased it for £65 i got it for £50, and they inspected it, checked it over and were happy to purchase it, Since then they have text me saying it was nakered 3/4th gear doesnt work and they have payed to get it fitted not sure what i can do for them as i could only do the same as they did inspect it visually make sure its complete since im not a mechanic.

Main reason for the thread is im not sure what to do other than to contact the ebay member i purchased it from ive done this already.

Yeah it was also sold as seen to the person who purchased it from me they checked it over said it seemed ok didnt check the gear selector though what my mate reconed they should of done, not sure really what i can do for them surely the mechanic would of checked it over before they fitted it

You werent to know that it was faulty.. therefore you were sold it as seen, and the guy that brought it from you was sold it as seen.

You dont have know it may have worked fine for a week then gone, these things are unpredictable , there fore you shouldnt be expected to do anything. Its not your fault
