low revs, accelerate and it dies

rightt..basically i start my saxo up and it has really low revs, i slap it in 1st and try n pull off i can hear it about to die if i keep my foot down then it dies...if i accelerate slow i can get away with it and im off ...once warmed up its fine..but if i turn it off and start it back up the same problem occurs still...any ideas?:panic:

idle control valve get it looked at buddy mine done it for a while went away by itself but all i done was give it a harsh rev and it would settle backdown try it :y:
