Bad lookin door lock

Hey guys, well as sad as it is, some silly puppet tryed to break into my Saxo a few nites back... didn't manage to get in but they did some bad damage to my door lock, all the paint arround it came off, all rusty now looks a mess. Seen a few saxo's with the door locks smoothed over... how much does this cost roughly? And I have no idea where some one would do this lol, I live in Nuneaton.

Any other tips wouldnt be a miss - i'll take some pics when i'm home from work tomorrow

As Baz said, but it caries depending on colour. Certain colours cost mre because you have to spray more panels toget the work to blend in properly

Yea i'll be taking them out no doubt frankie. Metallic black is the colour of my car bit expencive just for the two doors lol :(.

unless thats not the original colour the black on a saxo isn't metalic :)

personally i dont see the point in removing door pins etc. Just get a good alarm and hope this is enough of a deterrant to stop the fuckers trying to get in.
Whether you delock it / take door pins out they can still get in.

Yea I think it looks smart. Wouldnt be doing it to stop people breaking in as theres always a way. I'd be doing it to make my door not look shat lol

It does look smarter, granted. But in the past week ive seen 2 cars with the tops of their doors bent out.Noiseless and Probably easier than fiddling with a lock as well. There is no compensating for a decent alarm imo

thats why i've done all 3 :p de-lock, de-pin and an alarm with sensors on doors, boot and bonnet and inside.

yeah same, my clifford is on max security, with proximity sensors right up. Every opening is covered. Will eventually get around to de-locking it but purely for looks, i suppose its a visual deterrant as well

No compensating but it does help doing all 3 as they may not look twice if an easier target is around

Iv had a quote of £105 all in for doors so may do that or go with my normal bodyshop and get all the bodywork done at once, how much did you pay for your cliffords?

Take it yours was either the 650 or 950 Baz?

SNAP!!! thats what happened to me bud, they proper dinted my lock in and it looked like they tried to break the lock with a baseball bat haha. what i mean is they left the lock purely fucked. looks nasty so i get a quote on how much to de-lock the doors and fix the bend in the top corner of the door where they stuck a screwdriver, 80 quid, that good or bad???

fucking rights does it bud, especially when they steal something valuable to you, you know what i mean? it makes you sick. then the coppers keep sending letters out every month to let you know that they are actually doing something (WHEN THEY ARE NOT) and then eventually they send a letter saying that they are giving up on the search now but if any information is brought forward then they will proceed. KNOBS ;)

Really think that getting it delocked would be the best option though. May work out slightly dearer than repairing too... Plus it looks good!

Cock aint it when someone wrecks your pride and joy especially your first car... I'm on my 2nd and want a third already :P although i'd love to keep the saxo too
