New Head Unit

Right my dvd head unit has given up on me, so i need a new head unit

btw my setup is 1000w sub, 2 x 1000w 6x9s and a 2000w amp

first things first argghhh to 6x9s, get rid and get some components up front amped

thirdly how much are you wanting to spend on a new unit

Right, my 6x9s are 500rms each, and yes a 2000w amp im willing to spend around 180 mark, im strapped 4 cash atm, as ive got a holiday 2 pay 4

ipod, mp3 etc jst the usual but its gota have good sound output

Right am not clued up much on radios at all my question is this, i had a dvd head tuner in my car which was working fine, i sold this and bought another ( same but next model up!!) right when i have connected it up the dvd and radio both work but there is no sound?? i know its not the dvd tuner as it has been tested in my mates car and its fine, but the weird thing is i have an old head unit which works spot on so am thinking that its something to do with the wiring possibly any help much appreciated :panic:
