Agreed! If you were selling a car like that surely you would make sure the money/cheque clears before you let it go!

can the original owner do anything about it? he signed the paperwork to say he sold it. letting the car go before the cheque clears is totally stupid.

horrid tbh, as said above.. nevebr accept cheques when selling a car.. even if it clears... it takes longer then 2 weeks to actually clear.... so a few months down the line you could be without money and wonder why

Fake Cheque....
How stupid can you be. TBH if you're dumb enough to take a cheque without the funds clearing then you're not alowed to own that car.
That car will be in bits and spread over ebay.

i reckon this is bullshit to be honest.. As Cloud said what person lets their car go without money in their hand before they sell it on.. Secondly if the car has never been spotted how on earth do they know that it's heading towards the UK, if they have trackers on it which a modder like that would do to stop thieves... then they would have it by now if not Why would he get it ported to UK Why not drive it to germany or any other country in the EU..
I reckon it's a fake or a set up between the two for insurance claims!!
