i kno mate, but even on a 1.1 its over 1000, and named drivers earn no claims with NFU, so as long as a dont crash, its all good.

i was on nfu for my vtr it was something like 1800 for 12 months and if i did pass plus they took 300 off and offered me some thing to do 6 months on my own and if i didnt claim i would get 40% off my renewal... but no idea about mods, theyre all farmers but imagine it would be quite expensive.if you go on your mums make sure she is the registered keeper...

luke

I dunno if its true but if you put someone else as main driver and you as named, but really its your car and you mainly drive it, it can be fruad

Though thats what ive heard, i recall 1 or 2 people on here say it im sure

Though going on your own is the best bet :y:

nfu dont insure people under 25, so the only way is on a parents name. i know two people with them and there premiums are silly low, both around £500 and one of them has an 07 plate c2 vts.. :(

best going on ur own name tho!

tesco value insurance ftw

for my mrs 19...just passed few days, i insured my gti for her full comp 990 !!

excess is high @ 500 but tbh if she bumps it id kill her and replace parts privately

It really is best to go on your own policy mate. Try go compare http://www.gocompare.com/as they find you the cheapest insurers and you can "tailor" the right policy for you by taking bits out the policy you don't need and this reduces the cost:y:
