CO-OP have recently told me that there is no extra charge for adding a full exhaust system or and sort of air filter or induction kit.
However they have said that lowering will make your insurance void.
and when i asked about alloys they said i could only change the wheels for the same that was already on. but after a few minutes changed their minds to say i could upgrade to having some alloys if i wanted. :S :S
ooh well sounds guud to me
what u think?

Good they let you upgrade your car's performance:y: but not so good if you want to lower your car:P Might try them next time lol

sounds a bit backwards to me
fair play for the exhaust system etc
but void if lowered? bollocks to that! they should just charge you for it instead, its your car!

i know cis dont charge u for alloys.. and lowering used to be ok with them as long as they knew.. but when it comes to """bodykits""" (shudders) and performance gains like chargers / cams etc it will

It's their policy, their rules. If you don't like it, find a different policy. It's all about risk, they obviously feel that lowering is too much risk.

^^^ have a look at norwich union when you come to your renewal in Dec. They offer a no-claims booster (basically your policy lasts for 9 months rather than 12 and you get a whole years no claims added at the end of it.)

and that ncb is worthless, never do this and always get a proper 12month policy!

so i'm not allowed to have my own opinion about it?
my point was, if they're saying those mods are free but you can't even do lowering for an amount of cash it seems odd
and as for not liking "their rules", i'm not even with them, so i've not got thart problem in the first place!
You're right, its all about risk, and the price reflects that! I guarantee they'll insure a 17 year old on a VTR... if he pays the premium they demand... yet they wouldn't insure a 40 year old with 10 years no claims on a 1.1i just because it was lowered?!
Thats the point i'm making. If they consider it a risk, it'd make sense to charge for it, not void it completely.... "IMO"
