Guys. im after a new interior project. i will be building a 7'' touch screen monitor into the centre of my dash and rigging this up to a custom built (hopefully!) car pc. however, ive been shopping around for a motherboard, and there seems to be a big difference in price between the mini ITX and the ATX boards. Does anyone know much about these things?? i have an exact idea in mind of what i want, but not surewhats the best sort of gear to go for!
any help much apprechiated!!!!

When I built my carputer a few years ago I used linitx.com for most of the parts.

Depending on how much you want to spend it might be worth looking at getting an Acer L100. Its pretty small. It does come with a monitor but you could always sell it.

I'm a member of the Kustom PCs forums. If you have a look on there, there is a guide on how to install a car pc (including building it from scratch).

When it comes to the motherboard, you certainly won't want a full size ATX one. these are what are in full size pcs - a bit impractical for a car.

What you should ideally look at is a mATX mobo (Micro-ATX).
