Just on hold to see if i can get it removed but they are normally asses about it.

they have just do something simular to me. i left in £200 for bills to go out mon.
they sent me a letter on sat saying they were taking £150 out on bank charges.
so i phoned them, told them i had just got the letter and could not get money into the bank ready for mon to cover charges.(thought you should get 2 weeks notice)
they took out there charges on monday then charged me £35 for each of the 5 direct debits as there was not enough money in the bank, phoned them again and there is nothing they can do. t***S

Mate, write a letter asking for all charges back. At the moment there putting any letters recieved in file. Its currently going through court so wont be tiill next year that you may get all that money back. Worth a shot!!
I should be in order for a nice sum of over a grand lol!

they will only refund someone once or in certain circumstances. Hes used his life line.

So in theory. He still needs to manage his money more efficiently

CloVis

Thats the thing i dont get.

Banks are been taken to court regarding changes. They are settling the figures yet still charging people lol. How does that work out?

CloVis
25th October 2007, 08:55
They wont stop that procedure cos its still set in place.
Its going through the courts and all letters are being kept on file until its resolved.
Lots of people managed to claim charges back before it went to court, this has stopped now.

ATM, if your currently trying to claim back charges it's all put on hold until the court decides that the bank can actually do this (or summat or nuffin) it's all on here:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/bank-charges
If you've tried to claim they will send you an amount their prepared to pay, i.e im trying to claim just over a grand and they offered me £400 as a settlement. Now you can either take that or wait until the courts is over to find out that you can either get it ALL back or not get anything. It all decides on who wins, the banks or the people.

Peejous

People get charged because some people are on crap wages and need a night out on the lash, courtesy of HSBC etc. so they get increased overdrafts and struggle to get out of them. Then spiral downwards, until if your lucky, mommy or daddy help you out of it and make sure you dont do it again.

Kick up a fuss mate they tried to do this to be when i went over drawn because they didnt put money they were supposed to in my account.
The cheeky bitch said well we cant tell if you would have gone overdrawn anyway so we cant refund i just laughed in her face and said do you want to put what youve just said in writing for me please.

Ended up getting the full amount refunded

:clapping: Did that make you feel better.

On the other hand, some people get paid little yet due to circumstances they cant afford to pay house bills or food to live on, so they go overdrawn. Mostly by mistake, as im sure no1 really wants to be charged £30.

How niave are you being? Step into the real world.:y:
