Saturday is the day i get my eye's tested (i know im half blind probably wont be able to see the first letter)

Going to order a set of contacts when i get home from the test, theyre around £15 a month if you order in store but you can get 6 month supply for £28.50 from specsavers website....

Im buying the set that you were for a month then change them, even when you sleep (which is good because i couldn't be doing with taking them out every night)

Any more specy four eyes on here?

Anything i should be worried about? eyes geting infected or anything?

Much love,

Tupps - Resident blind sax-p'er

if you work in an office environment you can get your eyes tested for free as work have to pay for them, and generally if you need them for comp use work pay some oof the fee,

i got me free test sat, me eyes seem blurry at times, recently, even playing pro on my new hd tv does my eyes in after 1 game, ppassed with flying colours dunno how, got told never to stare at a pc screen for mroe than 15mins, always look away and blink or your eyes dry up which is why you get blurred vission.

i work at a comp all day go home look at tv or pc blatently hammers your eyes if i needed geggs for a comp my work would have paid 50£ towards them

I have got a pair of glasses that i am supposed to wear for watching tele, not sure what else as the bloke spoke so fast i couldnt understand. I wear them occasionally.

Quick
25th October 2007, 10:30
Have you worn contacts before?

I'd recommend starting off with the daily type ones before going for the monthly wear & forget ones!

Peejous
25th October 2007, 10:31
I wear glasses to drive, but started to keep them on 24/7 lately because my eyes have got worse. Except i dont wear them when i go out on the nights because alcohol, clubs and bouncers dont mix with glasses (they wernt cheap lol)
Got a contact lens appointment tomorrow so i can see when i go out now.
You have to have a seperate appointment for contact lenses because they check if your able to poke yourself in the eye to put them in etc.

I have specs and also wear contacts, not at the same time obviously.

Never had any probs with contacts, i have ones that you wear and throw away, just have to be carefull when you have had a skin full and forget to take them out, when you wake up next morning cant open your eyes, or wonder why you can see perfectly lol.

i got pretty poor eye sight too.

only thing i'd say is to not wear the monthly ones 24/7, i would allows your eyes to rest as you can strain them and if the get tierd they can damage easier.

also, if you get dust or similar particals behind them, you stand a chance of scrathing the surface of the eye (i had this and its no problem, they just say to not wear the lenses for a week or so).

but otherwise go for them.

i have 2 pairs of specks and should be getting just the wear in the day contacts soon.

they might make u start do dailys 4 a month or 2, to get ur eyes used to contacts. dailys arent that much of a pain, take bout a minute to get them in, and at night takes about 2 seconds to whip them out
