hi i am currently in the process of having a sound system in my car. its going to be from the front two seats back all in fiberglass. the price is £1100.
for that i am getting:
.3 10" vibe subs
.2 1300wtt vibe amps
.4 sets of vibe components
1 clarion dvd headunit
. the door cards changed
and a paint job on the fiberglass
all fitted.
i dont really no alot about i.c.e so was just wondering if the price was about right?:A:

i would rather have 2 x 12" and 2 x 10" or just go to 12"

if thats what you want from the car then go for it. Lot of money for what you actually get, your paying for the labour of the build

Vibe dont focus their research on speakers they focus it on vented boxes mainly, hence Vented Innovative Bass Enclosures.
Their speakers are well matched for the great boxes they do, the CBR active subs are very good bits of kit but the actual subs on theyre own arent that great mate. Id go for JL audio

You would be loads better spending that money on less kit, more sound deading and better quality cable. For £1100 I would never spend that on vibe.
Personally I'd be going for rainbow, genesis, RE...
Theres is no need for 4 sets of components. Spend the money on one set of decent components for the FRONT. Make sure you get the tweeter in the best place for sound... probably somewheere on the a pillars.
One 12" sub will probably be best depending on the music you listen to
Alpine HU's are very good
As for amps one for the sub and one for the comps or one 4 channel amp for the whole lot.
Now spend the rest on sound deading, quality wiring and fabricating

sounds like your paying mainly for the labour m8, buy all the components yourself then get someone to quote u on a boot build, or u and a m8 do one :y:

i got 2 15" vibes and 2 12" mac audio's, rainbow comps and rears, and tbh the subs arent all that good, im going for jl audio again after xmas their stuff isn't cheap but worth the outlay...spend the money once on good stuff instead of twice on junk is the best way

Mixing sub sizes is a big no no. You will never get it to sound right.
With car audio less is more. You dont need a million speakers. A good set of compenents and a single sub with a quaility amp will sound loads better then what you had planned.

as sed your mainly paying for labour you could get alot better for what you are paying
