Grr, it is so messed up! when i am looking to buy a saxo i can never find 1! i always end up with a jap car which i get bored in coupla months coz there isnt any mods out there for it! :p and i dont wanna buy a 1.1! i need a saxo wth VT kit which i can insure, so which leaves me wth westcoast and furio! but i can never find 1 :( i got a ad up on the wanted section and no responses :( looks like its going to be a Civic. jap car for a while, then boredom. cycle continues. rant over :n:

At 19 you should be able to insure a vtr for a reasonable price dude, get someone on your policy if you cant...

im 17 and im insured on a VTR.

But then again im paying stupid money cos im a stupid guy.

Can't see how you will get bored with a Civic, unless you buy a 1.3 or something. They are good cars with endless mods to be done to them.

lol jsut had a quote with hyperformace for a VTR £1650 per year! :p what do u guys think? trustworthy insurer?

At 19 you should be able to insure a vtr for a reasonable price dude, get someone on your policy if you cant...

no way! ive been driving for a year, but no NCB to show for it since it was my dad's policy, but now i wanna insure on my own

Yeah but you said in you're first post that you'll probably end up getting a civic, have it a few months and get bored :P Believe me, if you buy a proper civic you wont get bored of it anytime soon ;)

Well you can get 1.3 civics which are good cars, but the 'proper' civics are things like the 1.6 vti, EK9s and then the EP3. They range from 160-200bhp standard.

i tried money supermarket, best quote so far, £1600 with HSBC, but £156 when paying monthly. i guess living in the baddest area of cambridge(Arbury) isnt helping. :p

I found elephant.co.uk good for my old Saxo. I was £1100 fully comp when I got my 02 furio new and that was with 0 NCB and a write off to my name at 19.

now looking for a VTR :D £1580 with HSBC when i added my brother as a named driver, works for me :D but still abit too much.

I'm looking through the different site trying to find the best deal for my type R. Best one so far has been tesco value insurance. Has been at least £150 less than everywhere else.

Elephant.co.uk £1617, which is about £140 monthly according to my calculations, i go to sleep very happy :D hunt for a VTR begins, thx alot guys, good night
