Tax question...

I know its probably been raised loads of times, but i was curious as to how much car tax is for a vtr? mine is de on wednesday, totally skint, and need new tax on the car :n: sucks to be me at times

gone up. i paid 96 last feb or something, had to get it done 6 month later and it was like 98, SHOCKING! tax more on the exact same car just 2 years older than the mk2 ect what a con!

my dad been looking on the internet, and he said he found £77 for 6months

The pricing varies, any car built after 1 March 2001 is taxed on the emissions rating of the car.

mine is a Y reg 2001 ours may be cheaper because they may be just before the change in how tax works (emissions) just a guss really

Just checked on the online Tax goverment website. mine is £77 for 6 months or £140 for 12.
Mine was registerd on 22/06/2001 which was after it changed to tax group by CO2 emissions i belive was in the March.
The CO2 rating on mine is 159g/Km

Yup Y-reg + goes on CO2 emissons putting the S in a higher band than the R
Pre Y they pay the same tax as its based on engine size!

i havent yet taxed my vtr but my 206 1.4 hdi is £50 for the year. it will be hard gettn used to the fuel and tax bills :n:
