Was at the traffic lights tonight and it felt like the clutch snapped, the pedal shot upwards. Any ideas on what it is??

Is there any tension on the pedal when you put your foot on the clutch? Has the pedal gone "floppy" or "loose"?

If it has, sounds like the clutch pedal spring has snapped. Basically the spring pushes the pedal downwards and if the pedal is pushed excessively upwards it'll snap. Found that one out by accident lol

the pedal has shot up to the roof of the flooring if you understand, the pedal isnt hanging down anymore its up the top where the bar comes out of the floor.

ah sounds more like the clutch cable then...i take it its undrivable atm?

yer just phoned the garage today and they said it the cable! £26 for a new one and then £90 fitting for 2 hours labour because it so awkward to fit
