basicly I have changed my discs and pads around to drilled and grooved ones with mintex pads.

went for a drive and i noticed my engine management light is on.

do i need to go to a garage and get it reset?
does a VTR have a sensor on the calipers to warn you when your brakes are low? if so im sure it will be like my dads bmw and il have to get it reset?

REP IS WAITING for sensible replies

Engine management shouldnt affect the brakes, disconnect the battery for about 15 mins and plug it back in & the engine light should be off, if the fault is still there though it will just come back on.

Are the discs & pads new?

Yeah as its been said only the VTS has a low brake pad warning light. Engine management shouldnt be affected. Only problem with disconecting the battery is that the ecu forgets all of your setting so your car may be a bit lumpy, much better to get an odb2 fault code reader off ebay.

My ECU light came on when my ABS fcuked up, also my handbrake light stayed
on constantly. Maybe check the ABS sensors first, see if thats the root cause?

Not 100% sure but think you own a VTR, most VTRs dont come with ABS so
could be a non issue. But find out mate. At least thats one thing ticked off the
list.
