well when i flushed the cooling system and filled it back up, there were bubbles rising up into the header tank i used to fill the radiator. This was when the car was idling.

Definatly the headgasket… unlucky! Any signs for the cause of it? The radiator rotton?

Well i had a crash a couple of weeks and everything just went down hill from there.
Its gone to the garage now. Any idea how much it should cost to repair?
Recently, the car has been cutting out on me when slowing down for junctions etc. Could this be related?

thats just sounds like the air being released from the cooling system ?

i thought that too, but the amount of bubbles there were was really strange. They just didnt stop.

if water is mixing with the oil it normally leaves a cremy stuff on the oil filler cap.
when mine went, there was just a bit of oil leaking out of the side of the head that how i knew...

The head gasket might not be bad enough that the oils mixed with the coolant yet, its probably split between the cylinders and a waterway… those bubbles will be either exhaust or air/fuel getting into the coolant…

my head gasket just went and my temp light kept coming on and when i pulled over when i got home i could hear the water banging against the top of the radiator cap and after letting it cool down and opening it the water was mixed with oil and then we took it apart and the gasket was absolutly hanging and it cost me 125 pound to get the head crack tested and the valves checked and the heads skimmed and for all the gaskets which is pritty decent! we have currently put it back together but cant seem to get the timing in line!!!!!
